Belize day 3 (edited)

Today we had 80 kids ages 0-12 as well as some mothers. We were blessed to lead one of the kids to Christ. We went to church sunday night at a church that is here on the campus. When we told the pastor's wife that we were planning on moving to Belize, she said that we need to come to their church and become the youth (locally pronounced UTES) pastor. Her daughter, one of the "Utes" seemed to like the sound of that too.  It is looking like that may be our foot in the door. Things in Crooked Tree are not looking quite as promising as it was looking. It looks as if we may have to come down and work on our own, so if we can get in with this church, then buy some land, we can clear it and build our own compound to house missionaries and hold Bible camps. We will probably do that near the town of Belmopan. God is doing something, but what, we do not quite know. We simply know that God is calling us here and how we get here will be up to him.
God is blessing this trip and we are excited to see what God is going to do.

We got to see Marcos, our sponsored child and they made us this really nice basket. This is a large sacrifice for them to make since that is how they feed their family. They gave Maverick some things too.

We went out to the villages and gave out rice, beans, powdered milk, and Bibles this evening. We were able to pray with the people and talk with them about their lives. One woman lives with her grandson. She has 6 kids and they have all left her and one left his son to be raised by her. She has to be 80 yrs old, but had been praying about 2 minutes before we came that God would send her someone to talk to because she was lonely. Her grandson was out of town visiting his father and she was left alone. Two minutes later, we appeared. We gave her some food and she was just praising god. She said something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. She said, "I may not have much (pointing to her little shack with a dirt floor and cooking fire) but i have everything because I am a daughter of God" Amazing!!! Praise God for putting people like that in our lives.  It was a good time. She hugged our necks and gave us kisses even though she could not understand a word we said nor could any of us (except our interpreter) understand her.  God moves beyond boundries.  He is Truely Great
Grace and Peace
