Personal note: 4-18-12

I have been reminded this month, and especially this week of Isaiah 40:31 "They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint"
This verse, especially this week has hit home, along with a saying that I heard in Bible College, "If you never run head long into Satan, you need to check your life because you are probably running in the same direction"  This week we have been running head long into Satan a lot.  Fund raising is slow in this economy, hard feelings towards and from some people (to which I was reminded by a wise man... my dad... that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers), and most recently, one of our vehicles tried to flip on us.  When the mechanic told me what happened and I said that it happened at  between 75 and 80 mph, he said, it is amazing that you did not flip.  I simply told him, "Well, we had no steering and no brakes, so I guess God sat on our car."  But, we are all unharmed, we are working on getting the car fixed, and my brother in Knoxville loaned us his truck.  Satan does not want us in Belize.  We feel strongly that God does.  God will win, the trick is to keep our head up, looking up.  I said it on Facebook, and I will say it here, Satan can beat us up, knock us down, and kick us while we are there, but we will wait on the LORD and He will pick us up, dust us off, and make us soar like eagles.  Times get tough, satan tries to take the wind out of your sails, but if we wait on God, trust HIM to work it out, and just persevere, God will move you along.  We ask that you will keep us in your prayers during this time of spiritual attacks.  Also, if you would like to make a donation to our work in Belize, you can click the wepay link at the top right corner of our blog, or send a check to Darin and Shaunna Linkins and mail it to us at 3706 Mary Anna Dr. East Ridge, TN 37412.  If you would like to take part in the adopt-a-village fund raiser, email me which village(s) you would like to adopt, and how much you would like to pledge.  Emails can be sent to:  takinggospeltobelize@gmail.com. We know God is going to do something great on this trip, won't you join us in that work?

In HIS service,
Darin Linkins and family.
